Brother Brian tells us about his efforts to help out health care
workers at Maimionides Hospital. Since the outbreak of the pandemic,
staff at the hospital have been working very hard taking care of our
fragile elders. They are constantly on the go with very little time to
take a well-deserved break. Brian took it upon himself to raise money
to purchase coffee pods for the coffee machines in the break rooms, so
the staff could enjoy a small treat during their hectic shift. |

We read about McGill Medical students who started “MerciMealsMtl”, a
group dedicated to providing full course nutritious meals to front line
workers at all the English Hospitals in the Montreal area. Grand
Chancellor Michael Berman, on behalf of Grand Lodge approved a donation
to their GoFundMe page. |
Another project benefiting the front line medical staff at the Jewish
General Hospital was taken on by Grand Lodge. Jessica and Adina,
two volunteers in the Cote St-Luc community got together with
several of their friends to bake delicious desserts and treats for
these health care workers. On behalf of Grand Lodge, Grand
Chancellor
Michael Berman offered a donation of gift certificates from Tim
Horton's to compliment these baked goods. |
